Our role in the UAE International Investors Council reflects our region’s heritage, which, through the ages, has been home to merchants who travelled the world with distinctive best products and commodities. Our ancestors were entrepreneurs and pioneers of quality trade whose business activity served as a gateway to promising opportunities that have shaped the UAE into a regional hub for trade and prosperity. Building on this legacy, DP World contributes to around 10% of global trade. Our trade and logistics hub in Jebel Ali is a gateway to a region connecting businesses to more than 3.5 billion customers. We are confident that our international and regional investments will not only support the development and provide more job opportunities in the country we invest in but will also increase the UAE’s exports to implement all projects we finance. Accordingly, they will benefit from our competitive global trade and logistics capabilities. Expanding the UAE's foreign investments supports its strategy to diversify the economy and increase non-oil contribution to GDP to around 80%. This is reinforced by constant communications with government, private and family investment organisations in the UAE to attract more international investments.
