His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Abdullah Omran Al Shamsi

 

H.E. Mohammed Hassan Abdullah Omran Al Shamsi graduated from the Faculty of Engineering - Department of Communications and Electronics of Cairo University in 1977. He is considered as one of the first telecommunication engineers in the country. H.E. Al Shamsi currently serves as; 

Chairman of the National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah 

Chairman of the Board of Directors of RAK Properties 

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah 

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Ras Al Khaimah 

 

Previous positions that H.E Al Shamsi has served include; 

Chairman and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and Chairman of the Board of Trustees 

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etisalat and CEO of Etisalat 

Member of the Board of Directors of Khalifa University 

Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development Member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) 

Member of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Information 

Vice President of Gulf Cement Company

 

He has won many local, regional and international awards, including a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from CEO Middle East Conference (CEO of the Year) and the 2010 International CEO Award by the International Telecommunications Awards, which was held in London.
