UAE International Investors Council (UAEIIC) signs MoU with UAE-India Business Council (UIBC) to promote UAE investments in India

The UAE International Investors Council (UAEIIC) and UAE-India Business Council (UIBC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for facilitating trade and investments including expansion of joint ventures, technological & industrial collaboration between UAE and India.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Mr Jamal Saif Al Jarwan, Secretary General, UAEIIC and Mr Abdul Salam, Director General, UIBC during the seventh edition of Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Dubai.
As per the agreement, UAEIIC and UIBC will work together to facilitate, strengthen and diversify the cooperation between the UAE and Indian businesses, for pursuing a constant expansion of the trade and Investment between both the countries through exchange of business delegations, trade related information, and jointly organising trade shows, seminars & technical workshops.
Both sides reached extensive consensus on working towards tracking UAE investors’ issues & concerns; and facilitating in resolving them in best manner through a constructive dialogue between the investors and government agencies.
Both the parties also agree to undertake the following actions:
  1. Promote mutual investment opportunities by facilitating resources and information sharing related to investment opportunities in different sectors;
  2. Promote exchange of visits for further expansion of bilateral trade & investment relations by delegations of business leaders from both the countries. 
  3. Cooperate in organizing workshops, seminars on cooperation projects, exhibitions, conferences, technical seminars, and displays of the samples and literature of new products & technologies;
  4. Facilitate the establishment of effective platforms for cooperation and expand channels of resources sharing to enable, support and complement the enterprises of both the countries.
 
About UAEIIC: UAE International Investors Council was formed with the vision of acting as a link between investors abroad and the government in order to promote the competitiveness of Emirates investments abroad. It aims to join investment efforts of UAE companies investing abroad under one umbrella to form an investment power to strengthen foreign investment relations and support a sustainable economic development. By having the biggest investment companies in the United Arab Emirates, the UAEIIC provides a platform supporting, protecting, promoting and expanding the interests and objectives of UAE international investors. 
About UIBC: UAE-India Business Council (UIBC) is the official Joint Business Chamber set up by both the Governments for promoting economic synergy between the UAE and India. UIBC was formally launched in September, 2015 in New Delhi by the two Foreign Ministers, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.E. Smt. Shushma Swaraj. The UIBC launch was during a ceremony marking the conclusion of the fifth session of the bilateral Joint Commission, held within three weeks of Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi’s successful State visit to the UAE. 
UIBC aims to create an inclusive bilateral trade environment between UAE and India by linking governments and businesses, and supporting long-term commercial partnerships for developing strategic relationships between businesses and government officials from both the countries.
