H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi
Minister of State for Foreign Trade

The trade and investment relations between the UAE and Italy are distinguished and vital. Trade exchange between them grew during the period from 2010-2019 by more than 71%, reaching 7.7 billion dollars in 2019, and registering a growth of 1.3% compared to 2018. There are about 10,000 Italian brands registered in the country, which indicates the strength of commercial activity between the two countries. The economic environment in the two countries is rich in competitive commercial and investment potentials, and there are wide opportunities for developing partnerships and pioneering projects in the fields of technology, innovation, infrastructure, logistics services, the financial sector, digital economy and advanced industries sectors, as well as exchanging experiences and attracting talents. We look forward, during the next stage, to strengthening this partnership and opening wider areas for investors and the private sector in the two countries to benefit from their great economic assets, to support joint efforts by moving to a more sustainable economic model based on innovation, knowledge and advanced technology.
