The relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia has never been this strong since the meeting of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Joko Widodo in 2020.

Aceh is the closest gateway from the UAE to Indonesia and has the opportunity to strengthen this reciprocal relationship in terms of sustainable development and moderate implementation of Islamic sharia.

The recently signed Letter of Intent by one of the UAE companies and the Government of Aceh on tourism development should be the first stepping stone towards a greater collaboration between the two regions which are only separated by 5 hours of flight.
