I concur that the distinction of the UAE- Indonesia relations has always contributed directly and indirectly to opening channels for economic, commercial and investment cooperation in preparation for establishing a strategic partnership that leads the relations of the two friendly countries to broader, stronger and more developed horizons in the next stage.
UAE has become an important regional centre for the movement of trade and investment in the Middle East and a centre for attracting capital from various parts of the world, thanks to its financial and monetary security and stability, great openness to the outside world and the free movement of capital.
Today, Indonesia is considered one of the most important and stable economic and commercial markets in Southeast Asia. Accordingly, the UAE announced during the month of March 2021, that it will invest $ 10 billion through its governmental and private investment institutions with the Indonesian Investment Authority, which is the Indonesian sovereign fund.
Investments will focus on strategic sectors in the Republic of Indonesia, including infrastructure, roads, ports, tourism, agriculture and other vital sectors that have great potential for growth and contribute to the promotion of economic and social progress in Indonesia.
