UAE and Egypt... Strategic partnership, firm principles, and a comprehensive development renaissance
H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi
Minister of State for Foreign Trade
The Emirati-Egyptian relations are a role model, and have formed a distinctive pattern of strategic Arab relations based on a long history of political, economic and social relations between the two brotherly peoples.
The UAE ranks in the first place among the countries in the world investing in Egypt, with the presence of more than 1165 Emirati companies in the Egyptian market.
With a total of cumulative investment balance of 55.2 billion dirhams (15 billion dollars), it is expected to increase, as Emirati investments in Egypt have recently grown by about 300%, with the entry of Emirati giant projects in the sectors of retail, energy, real estate, infrastructure, logistics and industries.
We encourage the Emirati businessmen to continue considering investments into the Egyptian economy.
