Italy as a major global economy is an important trading partner for Dubai and the UAE. There has been a long history of collaboration between the two geographies for many decades in a wide range of different sectors. More recently, Dubai Exports has been creating synergies between the two geographies in the areas of gold jewellery and fashion.  Italian jewellery and fashion brands have a long history and are some of the most sought after in the world. Through, collaboration with companies from the UAE they have been able to target to a larger audience seeking differentiation as well tastes that keep with cultural norms. Dubai and the UAE is well placed to support the sector with one of the largest gold jewellery sectors globally.  Gold and diamonds accounts for 40% of Dubai’s total trade.  Dubai Exports is also assisting UAE companies to collaborate with Italian firms in a variety of sectors including engineering, consumer products, creative industries, digital trade and food production.
