UAE and France... Half a century of cooperation and partnership
15 Feb 2021UAE and France... Half a century of cooperation and partnership
Sharjah and France have a long history of bilateral relations, collaborating closely on several cultural and economic initiatives. The two parties are actively looking at ways of accelerating the pace of cooperation by increasing trade and foreign direct investment (FDI) flows.
Sharjah was home to the first French school in the UAE and has been home to a wide range of French businesses. Today, Sharjah is home to 482 French companies. Sharjah’s diversified economy, pro-investor policies, and advanced technological solutions have enabled thousands of investors and businesses from France and the rest of the world to use the Emirate as a base to grow their presence in the MENA region.
At Shurooq, we seek to strengthen our international partnerships to grow the local market and contributing to the transformation and economic diversification of Sharjah through the implementation of leading development projects.
We welcome the French business community to leverage Sharjah’s business-friendly environment and diversified investment opportunities in various sectors such as tourism, hospitality, environment, healthcare, logistics, light industry, technology, education, among others.
