H.E. joined the family business after completing his studies in the United Kingdom in early 1968, and with the help of his late father, Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, was able to diversify and develop the company's activities, to become one of the largest family businesses in the Middle East. Currently, the group includes under its umbrella a diverse group of businesses in various fields such as real estate, hotels, automobiles, tourism, travel, industrial and oil services, and investments.
• Elected as First Vice-President of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed the delegation of the Chamber in many international conferences and contributed an active role in introducing the economic and commercial achievements and investment opportunities available in the UAE through his valuable lectures at various international conferences and events participated in it.

• His best seller book: “From Rags to Riches - A Story of Abu Dhabi” published in English was translated in its Arabic, French Japanese, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Polish, Urdu and Malayalam versions.
• At present he is the chairman of the company MAKAREM LLC.
