H.E. Faiez Awadh Mohamed

HR professional with over 30 years of specialized experience cross multi-industry in Aviation, Telecom and Agri-food sectors with international exposure. Adaptable to change and team player with effective leadership style. Possess rich and broad knowledge of HR Best Practices, as well as comprehensive knowledge in different disciplines of HR. Familiar with the GCC general HR laws and fully acquainted with UAE’s Pension Laws, Federal HR Law, Civil Services Laws and HRMS ERP Systems.

Started his career with Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) in April 1989 as an Engineer and climbed the ladder to become the Senior Supervisor in the aircraft engines maintenance, overhaul and testing workshops. He was asked later to move to the HR Department of the same company to oversee the Manpower Planning, Recruitment and Employee Relations.

Joined Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) in August 1998 as a Coordinator Employee Services and progressed well in his career to lead and manage the HR Department of Etisalat UAE between 2009 to 2012 as he contributed to enhance the overall organization effectiveness through various initiatives. Appointed as Senior Vice President HR Business Optimization in Etisalat Group to direct and manage local and virtual teams spanning across 19 countries in the formulation and execution of projects related to Human Capital strategy, Culture change, Global values roll-out, Employee engagement, Employee Relations, Internal Communication, SLAs and measurements. Chaired and actively participated in various taskforces / committees to support corporate decisions. Was a member of Etisalat Sri Lanka’s Audit Committee and Advisor to its HR & Compensation Committee of the Board.

Led the HR Division of Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), KSA in the capacity of Chief Human Resources Officer from February 2015 to October 2017 during the turnaround of the company after the turmoil. Directed the internal communication and addressed Employee Engagement and other relevant HR initiatives during such difficult time. Was a board member of Mobily subsidiaries: NCBS, BYANAT and Mobily Infotech (India).

Between December 2017 to December 2021, he served as a Freelance Advisor in Abu Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority providing advices and recommendations to the Director General and Executive Team on various HR and Managerial strategic aspects related to the Operating Model, Organization Structure, Cost Optimization, Corporate Communications to ensure that ADAFSA is following best practices on such matters.

Faiez holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Arizona, USA majoring in Aerospace Engineering since December 1988.
